Okay, i have renamed the file, it should be easier now, no rename. Also, NoNHacker1 said in the 8th reply, you can install the real 1.10 from Pentax after install this hacked firmware. Better use the REAL one :)


As some user in www.dpreview.com wants to download the hacked firmware 1.10 (pentax k10d), i uploaded it and you can download it >> HERE <<

Here is the instruction.
unzip the file and put in the sd card (just like you install as real k10d's firmware

Download this, this is FIRMWARE 1.10 (debug mode)
Copy files on sd card, pres menu button when turn on camera
When question show, take 'yes', when finish turn off camera
Now pres play+ok button when turn on, you see FM 1.30 text on lcd sreen
Fast press fn -> fn -> info -> menu button's and you got debug mode!

The one problem I've found I can not mount camera as USB device on Linux.
Works fine under windows.

Solve USB problem would be a buy a new reader, right? How was the focus before and after, did you compare images?

My silly question...is IF...for my newer SMC-A manual focus 1:1,4/50mm ALSO it's needed?

I have today the last 1.30 firmware, when I got the box with the kit lens...the firmware was 1,00...when 1.20 was available I change it...soon after so the today last one 1.30 appear...I add it.

With my other lens a "Sleeper" (I pay $:20.00 for it!), the focus is 100% pin point!.

Hey,

i believe that hacked firmware 1.10 make you camera's AF focus right. It's when you hear the "bip" sound in K10D and it's confirming right but when you check the images, you notice either Font/back focus issue. This is here you can put the 1.10 back to adjust the focus.

i am using FA50 1.4 so i can't really answer your question. Do you have any other lens to focus? also, try focus manually until you see the focus confirm (green dot or the bip sound) then take a picture. after that, check if the camera "predict" the AF good or not.

I decided to try an experiment. First of all, this firmware wouldn't load unless I removed the 1.10 from within the title. The camera didn't even recognize it was there. The interesting thing is that once I got the 'revised' firmware to load, I was then able to Reload the REAL v1.10 on top of it. Pretty slick. Thanks.

Hm..if you be able to load the real 1.10, can u use the PEF file? it's not working with the hacked version.

Nice to know then, gonna rename the hacked file to make it easy for your guys. then u don't have to rename that :)
